These are two solid worked glass spines I created... I haven't decided what else I'm going to do to them... But I don't think they're quite finished yet...

Any thoughts?

To me they kind of look like they have the same texture as something looked at under an electron microscope... My nerdiness reigns supreme!

Daily DeviationGlass spines by ~LaughingTree Anatomy or random biology in frosted form? It's interesting and beautiful either way. (Featured by `dedredhed)

Then again excellent work.

I don't know but I think colour is not a good idea, but what do I know.
The only Sculpture thingies I do is whit pearls and feathers.
If I do end up coloring them, it would be real subtle. A wash almost. A subtle shading of hues. I might try it on one and see if I like it. If all else fails, I'll always have the slides of them.. .hehe.

Damn that's hot work! :+fav:
They look great as they are. Their shape is interesting and the color refines it and doesnt destract from it.

Thanks. Yeah, I ended up not changing them at all, and I'm pretty happy with the way they are. Took a minute to kind of sink in.

My RedBubble: clicky!
The best piece of glass work I can remember seeing. Looks like it was incredibly difficult to create. The frosted look is fantastic too :3 You say you dont think it looks finished but I cant see any way you could improve it, not without ruining the ergonomic minimalism of it anyhow. I'm jealous :)
