Here's a piece from my BFA show. It's entitled "Exoskeletal Emergence" and is made of just glass and metal. The glass is removable and intrechangable with other colors/shapes.

This piece is about 7-8 feet tall with the glass in it. It took about 75 hours to complete.

Ooooo.....I like, I like! The glass portion is very nifty in particular. It makes me think of the things that people throw into the trees around here (on campus, mainly shoes)...in a good way. :) What are the little white things along the wall? *grins* fortunately, I still have about 5 months til my BFA show, which is excellent, since I have no clue what I'm going to do for it. *l*
Ahhhh, You shall see about those white things a bit later when that piece gets uploaded... All in due time I assure you :D

Very Nice.

How was the tree done if you don't mind me asking?

The gray glass looks really nice.

Ah, ok. :) I can live with that then.

Wasn't sure if it was just background decor. One of the past ceramics BFA students put fancy molding all the way around the gallery for her show. *Very* subtle, but it was there.
Of course The piece consists of 9 gauge metal wire wrapped around a 1/2 inch solid round core. I then welded the entire thing with a mig welder. Hours upon hours upon hours of welding. Basically the entire piece has been welded over.

And thanks about the comment about the glass. That's actually the third piece of glass that I made to go in the top. The first two didn't integrate well with the rest of the tree. Third time's the charm!
